New to the forum. Just picked up a torch red 07 convertible. I'd been lurking a little researching an eventual purchase, but then my dad had quintuple bypass surgery, and I decided to pull the string and find my dream car a little sooner!
Traded an 09 G8GT for a daily driver and an 07 Mazda MX-5 convertible for the Vette. I think I'm prepared for the Kansas winters and summers now. Looking forward to what I can learn, and hopefully I'll be able to contribute before long.
Sorry for the lack of pictures, but with my dad's health, I'm having a hard time finding time to take pictures. Coming soon...
Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations on your C6!! Just for clarity, your '07 is "Victory Red", Torch Red wasn't available until 2010, unless yours was repainted. Enjoy the car and the Forums.

Thanks for the clarification. I was on information overload. I actually spent quite a bit of time considering new versus used, and looks like I got my colors crossed.
Congrats on the new ride! This little Kansas Railroad town just keeps getting better and better! I'll say a little prayer for your dad.
Wow - A response from my hometown!
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and well wishes for my dad.
So a newby question in case I run across lt4obsesses in town. Do Vette owners give each other a wave when passing on the road??? I hope so, I'll be doing it!
Welcome to cf from Upstate,Ny.
As far as the wave,Ive waved back and forth with more vette owners in the past 3weeks than actual people i know and love it.
Dad is doing great, and I appreciate all the thoughts/prayers. That's the best stuff.
This whole process kind of slapped me in the face to remind me about the importance of family, friends, faith, and life away from work.
My "new" purchase has just over 25k miles, and was well cared for, but I've already started working to put it back into perfect condition. Caliper repaint, wheel well detail, engine compartment, and a good start on the paint. Wet sanded the hood and fender tops, and they look great. I've got to work on the backside, but hopefully by the end of the weekend, the paint will be good for a close inspection.
Congratulations on your new Corvette & Welcome to the Forum! Lots of good information & knowledgeable Corvette owners here! And Absolutely Save the Wave
