Hello
To get to basics, my vettes are as follows (and their current conditions and specs):
1954 Corvette - Not too much to talk about spec wise considering the fact the only options available was the exterior body color (mine is 'Primer' at the moment). I will prob end up painting it Black.
1960 Corvette - This is my current project. All that "exists" at the moment is the frame and the rear end body. Plan is to install a 283 - 290hp Fuel Injected engine, the powerglide Auto Tran (wife likes to drive them, and needs automatic), exterior color will be 'Sateen Silver', Black leather interior, and 'Ermine White' cove, and will add a Hardtop.
1967 Corvette - Coupe, 427 - 435hp engine (L71), 4-speed Manual Tran, had the original leather seats up until about 10yrs ago when fading and cracking started to be uncontrolable. 'Marina Blue' exterior, with blue interior. BY FAR MY FAVORITE VETTE OF ALL TIME (until I can get my hands on a 57).
These next two need a little explaining....
-First off, dont get me wrong, I have loved every style vette produced, but from 68 - 82 (the C3's), and then the C4's (84 - 96), the body styles to an extent were not in my taste. Most of the 70's, while still nice, and similar to the eary and mid/late 60's, had too much of an enlongated body, while the C4's had the "boxier" look to them.
I have always been a huge fan of the C1/C2, the C5's are nice, along with the C6's. The C7's will not dissapoint.
So anyways...
1980 Corvette - 350 - 230hp engine, Auto tran, removable glass roof panels. Exterior color is Black, with the 'Oyster' colored interior. I only bought this vette because a friend of mine wanted to sell it. Only paid $2000 for it.
1990 Corvette - Coupe, 350 - 240hp engine with 4-speed Auto tran. Exterior color is White, with the Grey interior. Originally, another friend of mine was wanting to sell this one. A buddy I worked with was wanting to buy his first Corvette, so I introduced the two of them. After about 3 weeks of taking my buddy out to see the vette (almost every other day), he decided he wanted to buy it. Unfortunatly, his wife did not agree, so, obviously, he didnt get it. So for $3000, I decided to buy it.
Anyways, I applogize for the lengthy first post, and hope to talk to you all on the board when I am able to get on.

Fabulous stable of Vettes there!! I'm with you, C1/C2's are the best. My favorite is Marina Blue '67 roadster. My favorite C1 color combo is black with silver coves and red interior. Anyway, have fun and enjoy the Forums. The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
