Hello Everyone need a little help
My names Chris, I am 27 years old and live in San Diego. I joined up on this forum to gather information about models of corvettes. I have recently started shopping for a corvette to use as a commuter/toy and would like to make a informed choice when I go to buy one. I have been searching craigslist and other forums to try and find a use Z06 or a yellow C5 or C6 with the Z51 performance package and 6 speed manual. I haven't been lucky enough to find the car, I think I am looking for yet. I say "think I am looking for" because I am still researching. These might not be the car that I should be shopping for being a commuter/toy. I welcome criticism and ideas in my search to get my hands on one of these awesome machines. I am not picky on price, but I would like to find a deal below $40,000.

Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!!!!! Your question as asked here is very broad. I suggest you try to refine your target a bit. Since money isn't a big factor, you need to decide if you want to find a C5 or C5 Z06, OR a C6 or C6 Z06. All great cars but very different characters and degrees of refinement and driving experience. When you say "commuter", does that mean hours of stop and go traffic every day or open running or some of both?
Anyway, if you want to know about any of the C5's, ask for suggestions in the C5 General Forum. If you want to know about C6's, ask in the C6 General Forum. Good luck with your research and enjoy the Forums.
