Happy New Year
I bought a 65 roadster the end of November. 327, 4 speed, Goldwood Yellow car. Very nice driver, was frame off restored by the previous owner in 97. I don't think he put 5000 miles on it since.
Sorry guys but its the first GM I ever owned. Always wanted a mid-year vette though since I was a kid reading car mags. Not crazy about the Goldwood but it's growing on me.
After a month of arguing with my regional DMV office over whether I was entitled to register it as a historic vehicle because it has sidepipes they finally registered it and I was able to put about 50 miles on the car before ice came and the roads were salted. So my new Vette is now hibernating with my 70 Challenger until either spring comes or a couple mid winter rains clean all the salt off the roads.
While I am waiting I am going over the car fixing some small issues - headlights (already got some great feedback on the Forum), back brakes, converting to DOT5, new top, ammeter & gas gauge troubleshoot, jack, spare, slow leak tire. Overall a pretty nice car that I am going to enjoy thoroughly.
Here is the link to some pics of the car:
