I got this 2004 in January, from an acquaintance I've known since before he bought the car new. He kept it in a garage under a cover, and never drove it at night or in the rain. It's been over 100 MPH once for just a couple miles the day he turned 1,000 miles on the odometer, and has never spun a tire. The day I took posession it had 1,352 actual miles on it.
Like the original owner, it's still never been driven in the rain. Unlike the original owner, I just turned 2,000 miles on the odo.
Lookin' forward to rapping here with y'all,
Dick

Welcome to the Forum Dick and congratulations on your almost new C5 What a great way to start your Corvette experience.
Thanks for the welcome, Folks...
Yeah, I can't think of a better way to start my Corvette experience. A brand new one for half price!
I believe I've spent more time detailing it than I have driving it, but no way is it going to be a "garage queen". The previous owner complained while we were negotiating a price, that he figured it cost him $17 a mile to drive it. I wisely kept my mouth shut, while thinking "Well who's fault was THAT?"
