Purchased my first corvette last year in February when I retired, always wanted one. It was a show car, unfortunately on the way home, it just died. After trying to figure it out all year by rebuilding items I felt it was associated with, found it may be what is called vehcile anti-theft system module. I just can't seem to figure out where it is. If anyone can help, would be appreciated. Like to drive it and start showing it again someday!
Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!! Congratulations on your C4!! Sorry to hear you've had so much trouble. Just head over to the C4 General Forum for help from the guys who own them and know them best. Good luck, enjoy the Forums.
Welcome and congrats on your Vette
A couple things come to mind. If it's a stick shift, it could be the clutch switch. Also the ignition key has a resistor on it that can wear down. Try your spare key. And when you have a failed start, there is typically a 10 or 15 minute period during which the theft system will not let it start.
Good luck and as was mentioned, the C4 section can help you with your problems.
Try the "search" function in the C4 forums for VATS-- there are multiple threads/posts about location of components and modules--how to check, repair and bypass etc.
