Had my Vette for about a year. I've had some Camaro's, Firebirds, Trans Am's, other sporty cars. I've always been a motor head. Don't hunt, fish, obsess about sports.... I'm a car guy from very early on!
A couple years ago my house burned. The '96 TA Convertibe in the Garage was gone too. When I bought that car I figured I'd own it till the end and never need anything else. Started looking for another TA to replace it and found my Vette for not much more than the TA's were running.
Needed a headlight motor which I have now done. Also needed a serpintine belt idler pully which I did after the first time it scared the heck out of me throwing that belt! Also has since lost the oil pressure sender which I need to do. I need to figure out if I can touch up the paint too. I was told it was a hard paint to do that with since the touch up would come in three bottles and it's hard to make look right.
I love the car! Always wanted a Vette! It came to me though a tradgety!
This C5 is just great! It's a little noisy with the top up but other than that, it's cofortable yet quick and nimble! Fun to drive and still fine for regualr driving! The little dial on the console lets me pick the comfort/performance ratio!
