New future owner?
Hello all. I don't own a vette yet, but I am looking for my first one. Hoping to find a somewhat lower priced C3 that needs a bit of TLC. Hoping to find some answers on things I should be looking for on this body style when buying. I am looking in a 6 - 7k and under range. I don't want anything perfect, but don't want to get something home and find out I got screwed either. This will be my first major car project. I have done a fair amount of work on SBC engines in trucks and other GM's so engine and mechanical work doesn't bother me. More worried about rust issues and such.
Anyway a little bit about me I guess? I work on commercial pools for a living. I am 32 have a lovely wife and beautiful 1 1/2 year old daughter. Live in the Kansas City area. Up until this point in my life I have mostly messed around with motorcycles, but last fall a close friend and riding buddy was killed in a bike accident. It kinda hit home and I decided to hang up the helmet. I like seeing my daughter more than riding a bike. So I sold the bike and am selling an old Blazer I have to build my dream car.
