My first Corvette
Hi! My first car was a 1968 Firebird. Since then I've driven a variety of Firebirds and then Camaros, though I always really wanted a Corvette. A year ago, everything finally came together. I traded my 2002 Anniversary Edition Camaro Z-28 for a 2005 Daytona Sunset Orange C6 convertible. It had only 5,000 miles on it, looked literally brand new, and I got a great deal on it. Not a scratch on it, no swirl marks in the paint, it was gorgeous.
It's a 6-speed with Bose stereo and heads-up. I wasn't too keen on the color at first, but it kind of grows on you and it certainly is a head-turner. I've actually had people give me compliments on it at stop lights. Now I just love this car.
And it took me exactly 6 days after buying it before getting pulled over. Thankfully, the cop saw I had just bought it and let me off with a warning :-)
Anyway, looks like lots of good stuff on this site. I'll be looking forward to participating.
