I've visited this site for about 2 years off an on. We had a 95 C4 and I would read the C4 tech forums quite often. Last month we bought a new 2010 Coupe and traded the 95 (sorry to see it go). I've been a Corvette enthusiast since I was 22 years old when I bought my first new 67 Roadster. This is our 6th and I am overwhelmed at the improvements made over the years in every area of the Corvette. As far as the site is concerned, there's so much information here and so many times when I thought I wanted to take part in the discussions. Today was the day...... I made the leap and officially registered.
Just purchased my first vette. Drove 8 hours north to Chicago to get it. Its a 2007 LeMans blue Z51 6 speed.Only 25000 miles. Had the luxury of keeping my wife and her RX8 in my rear view mirror the whole way back. Good granny I thought i knew what fast was pre vette. I was wrong. Just glad i made it back to Paris, TN with my 2001 S10 plates on it without getting pulled over. To the court house tomorrow to get my plates ordered. Gonna say BROKE on it. Test drove the car in downtown Chicago at 8 o clock at night. Talk about real life Grand Tourismo. Question: will the new wear off or will i perpetually be smiling from ear to ear? BTW Im completely ignorant of all things vette and would appreciate any advice on what to keep an eye on with this car. Maintenance? etc Been on synthetic oil since birth along with premium gas. Thanks.

Welcome Clint. You really should start your own Intro thread. If not then head to C6 General for education and asking questions.
