Hello fellow vette lovers!
I guess I need to introduce myself.....so here I go! I am from the Edmonton Alberta area.
I purchased my first Corvette a year ago and I am totally addicted! I have always loved Vette's and finally had the means to get one. I purchased a sweet, vitually untouched 2002 C5 convertible with the LS1 6-speed manual. Only mods done were a new Cat back that has a really agressive sound and a stock rim upgrade. The previous owner swapped out the stock 17" fronts & 18" rears with 18"fronts & 19" rears.
I am currently in the process of changing out the current rims and tires and going with 19" x 9.5" fronts & 20" x 11" rears (946EXTs). I am also upgrading the brakes from stock brakes to a ZO6 mod for the C5.
Obviously the LS1 is not a super quick, but at least it will have great stopping power! In all honesty, the stock brakes are done and after pricing out replacements at the dealer, it made more sense to just do the upgrade.
I drive this car daily and have no complaints other that having to deal with some of the C5's electrical quirks. Which, so far have been pretty minor.
Currently I am looking to add another Vette to my garage. A 2006 Coupe auto with 6-speed paddle shift. Mods on that are a supercharger, wide body mod, lowered and Lambo doors. REALLY looking forward to bringing that on for my weekend ride!
If all goes well, I should have that on my doorstep by the end of the month! We'll keep you posted!
