I'm Ralle (Ralf 44) from Germany, driving since Nov 2009 a Mustang GT 2010. Now since last year I have the dream to buy as well something from the 60/70. the obvious was to buy a 1965/1967 Mustang convertible but my boss (wife) didn't agreed with all what I proposed - I tried it with Camaro, Charger - nothing. Then few weeks ago she said, if you have to buy such an old car, then at least a Corvette - perfect
Now since a while I checking in Europe the available cars but quality and and ..... isn't really what I'm looking for - either cheap and forget it or far toooo expensive.
2 days ago, a colleague from the German Corvette Forum told that he got his car through this Forum - this is the reason I registered here.
Thanks and meet the one or other in the C3 "Wanted" Thread
You can learn a lot on this forum about Corvettes. We traveled near Heidelberg a few years ago and saw a 78 Pace Car. So few Vettes in Europe & UK. Total count was 3 in 14 days.
Buy American and make it 4
I'm just kidding. I know they have a lot more than 3 Corvettes over there but they must all be garaged.
Your least expensive will be C4's (84-96) They make great daily drivers.
But C3's you mentioned are nice too. If you find one you like send me a PM (Personal Message) and I will look over the information for you. I had a few of those.
btw: think about traveling to Carlisle, Pennsylvania the end of August this year or in the years ahead to see thousands of Corvettes
Good Luck

Welcome to the forum. I would type it in Deutsche, but I forgot how to schreibe deutsche.
Where are you in Germany? There is a Germany Corvette Club "Baden-Wurrtemburg International Corvette Club" that is really good! If you have not linked up with them, a great bunch who have a full schedule with Corvette meets, greets, races, trips to Normandy, Luxembourg, Rudesheim, NurburgRing, HockenheimRing, etc etc etc..... In my 2 years, they had so many events, I couldn't keep up.

Welcome again,
Hey, I'm located in the deep South, about 50 km before the "Bodensee"
the lake between Austria, Swizz and Germany - this region is nice because we have already montains and more country side flair.
I'm as well in German Corvette Forum and this guys helped me already lot.

Hey Luck,
thanks, will for sure inform about to have a look at it.
My daily driver is already the 2010 Mustang GT and the Corvette should be just for the summer - If we have - this year looks not bad, since beginning of April 18 up to 27°C.
My plan to buy the Vette is, first find one and then I will send someone (US Car dealer from Germany) to check the car and if good, buy it and ship.

Ralle, I been down to Bodensee World Tuning 2006 and it was SICK!!! Mostly imports, but you could still see the pride they took in their rides whether it be paint, sound sytems, set up, etc. One of the absolute nicest and most fun car shows I ever attended. IAA Car SHow in Frankfurt was also a blast!!
Here is a video link to some of the photos I got....

I was this year, but nothing real interesting -
I saw the new Mustang Boss 302, new Camaro and most important was, my garage showed an Hemi orange Challenger, the car of my bother - he was very very proud because of that

Buyers also ask our members to check out cars all the time. One good place to ask is in the Regional Forum. Just click Forum and find Events & Regional. But don't ask that in the For Sale Forum.
I drove around 1500 Miles around San Francisco till yesterday and saw :
C1- 0, C2-0, C3-0, C4-6, C5+C6 - 39
So the Classics are all gone here ?
Ralf, this is a great Forum and everybody is helping regardless what the problem is. Welcome and enjoy
It's very normal to see mostly late models on the road. Happens as older generations get retired to the garage. But believe me, they are still there.
Me, I enjoy driving my 93 Anniv Edition Coupe just as much as my 03 Anniv Edition Convertible. The 93 has 22K miles and the 03 has 6.5K
Had the 93 out today at the beach and saw a couple of C5's.
