or will be on Tuesday. I thought I got a good deal but after reading the thread about prices dropping I am not sure. I have a contract on a 2004 coupe with 37,000 mies on it. It looks to have been garage kept and the only mods are flowmasters and a k&n airfilter. The only things I found wrong looking at it was a little strip covering the screws behind the drivers door handle is gone, there are three small blemishes on the rh quarter panel. Oh and the owners manual is missing. I gave 21,000 for it, did I pay too much? My credit union was very happy with the deal so I figured I was pretty close on the price.
What part of TX? I'm from the DFW area and just bought a C5 about a week ago.
I live in Bowie which is 65 miles N. of Fort Worth. I work in Fort Worth.
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I intend to learn a lot from this site. I have been messing with cars fast & slow since I was a kid but this is my first Corvette.
I see no one is addressing the price I paid, I hope its not really really bad and everyone is not just being polite by not saying anything. I did look around quite a bit and thought it was a fair price. If so shhhhhh don't tell my wife.
Regarding the price you paid for your C5, you will have better luck getting feedback if you post that particular question in the C5 section. Also, replies may pick up now the holiday weekend is over.
Well she is in the garage, I can't believe I finally own a Corvette! The wife and son met the owner half way between our house and his (150) miles and took turns driving it home. She called me and ask "What are you going to drive? this car is awesome" When I test drove it we didn't have time for her to drive it. I drove it a little when I got home from work and I have to agree. I think I am hooked!

Welcome aboard! Sounds like a fair price. I am a new 2011 GS owner, so I am not that familiar on that year. However...My buddy got a good deal on a mint '99. He paid about $19,000 or so. You did good. Important thing is that you love it.
