2020 Corvette of the Year Finalist (appearance mods)
C3 of Year Winner (appearance mods) 2019
hello from Iowa
My wife and I decided we needed/deserved a 'vette and to me the classic lines of the c3 was the ticket. I started reading on the forums to learn as much as I could (I have been lurking for about a year) and I realized that Josh from Custom Image Corvettes lives literally around the corner from me.
I met up with him and started hanging around his shop. Before I knew it, a stray 'vette followed me home.
She is a 76. When it is done it will have an LS1, Richmond 6 speed, and a lot of really nice stuff from VB&P. We are going to put on a set of flares and rear end molded off of Kaoss and as it turns out I will be getting the wheels off of that car (thank's Rob!)
I have learned a lot being over at the shop, but know I have only scratched the surface. Right now I am just stripping off parts so we can lift the body when time allows.
I am pretty excited about the whole deal. Not only owning a car I have admired since I was a boy, but getting to build it. Who knew?
Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!! Congratulations on your C3!! Nice story about the acquisition and how fortunate you are to be convenient to a great shop source! Good luck, have fun with the project and enjoy the Forums.
