Hello from France ! My name is Simone and I'm a woman. I've been now for 3 months the lucky owner of a C3 LT1 coupé from 1971, war bonnet yellow. That's why I named the car Magnum Gold. It arrived in March in France and comes from the Connecticut. It's a wonderfull car, fully restaured and 2 times NCRS winner. As I could not find this special model (LT1) in Europe, I finally looked overseas and found my jewel last November 2010. I love to drive it, it's a real pleasure to feel the power of the engine and to hear the sound of the V8 engine. Such kind of cars are quite rare here, you can see some Mustang's but Corvette's are still very rare and especially the LT1 models. The C4 and C5 models are a bit more frequent. A friend of us has a 1972 LT1 coupé Elkart Green and another friend has a blue convertible 1970 LT1, so we have the 3 years together ! We think that these are the only 3 existing LT1 C3's in France.
Congratulations to you on your new car and welcome to the forum. Enjoy your new "foreign" car! It is nice to see how much people in France like Corvettes.
Just a suggestion, might want to fill in your profile so people will know you're in France. It will be helpful when answering questions you might ask in the future.
