Hello everybody!!!
I run a general auto repair shop here in N.C., and have a couple of customers with vintage Vettes....all of them sharp cars. Sometimes I run into a little difficulty getting repair info on them....and I've run into that very problem now.
I've got a 1980 vette here with an ac/ vent heater door problem. I've narrowed down the problem to the vaccuum switch on the a.c controller being bad. I got a new(?) one from Eckler's, but it won't pull any vacuum through either. I can hook vacuun to the port for the black line, and none of the other ports gets vaccuum when I switch it....it's bad....right?
I've also noticed that the vent doors (which do work if I apply vacuum to the connector) do not seem to be opening and closing when they're supposed (when the switch does work occasionally). If somebody has the vaccuum diagram or a pic of the ac/ heater system controls, I would deeply appreciate the info.

Welcome to the forum! This forum is broken down into general and specific help, and by type of vette you own. I would ask you to refer your question to the C3 Tech forum here, there are some very knowledgeable members here, I've always gotten my questions answered pretty quickly.

Hello and welcome to the forum from NE Ohio.
I found this thread in the C3 Tech/Performance section that has reference to a 1980 with a 1977 diagram. Check out post #32 in this thread. Good luck. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...8-vette-2.html
