Forum Members,
I'm the newbie on the block. I decided to join when I decided that it was time to get the long-awaited 'vette. Budget and style considerations have led me to believe that something in the '90s would be my best bet. I come to this forum, asking for advice. Are the particular '90 - '99 model years that I should avoid? I prefer manual but see a lot of automatics available. How is the reliability of the slushbox; is it best to stick with the stick? Appreciate any and all suggestions. Thank you.
Welcome to the Forum!!!!! It's best to just head over to the General Forums for generations you're interested in to ask questions and just read and learn. You said your years are '90 - '99. That spans 2 Corvette generations. To learn about the '90 - '96 cars, go to the C4 General Forum:
Welcome My opinion 97 and up would be the best option. Prices have started to come down, and in general they are very reliable. I have owned both auto and stick. Almost didnt buy the first one because it was auto, but I was not the least bit sorry. Still prefer std tho.. Good luck
