hi there. proud new vette owner here (2000 convertible AT). i had to give up riding bikes due to foot/nerve damage so this is my new hobby 
always been a chevy guy, in fact im building a 73 350/AT luv currently. have owned a built 72 350 camaro, a 66 454 4sp chevelle, a 350 vega, a 305 monza, and about 5 older chev trucks.
had the car almost a week i gotta say its a LOT squirrelier (ya i know its not a word) than i thought it would be, leaving all the handicaps on for now just not sure if i would ride it out or loop it with them off.
anyhow i am in the pacific NW, glad to be aboard!
