Hello everybody! My name is Brian. I just recently got my first Corvette after wanting one for many years. I had been looking for a 4th gen Trans Am but then came across a great deal on this Z06 and decided I could afford it.
I've been checking out this forum the last few weeks since getting my Z06 and I'm loving the amount of knowledge I'm finding here! I plan on becoming a very involved member and already have several plans for the Z06.
First a few details about it... It's an 03 Torch red Z06 with only 31k miles! The last owner did a few things to it when he had it including a different intake, long tube headers, and full exhaust with x pipe and no cats. It has been retuned and runs great! This season I will probably leave everything as is in the motor but next summer I plan on doing a cam, springs and pushrods if I decide to just leave it at that... Until then though I am going to be doing my research on doing a twin turbo setup on the LS6 so I can decide if I should go that route with it or not...
I am very familiar with turbo setups as my other car is a fully built 97 Talon TSi AWD with about 375hp on it's current turbo. Looking to possibly upgrade that next summer as well if the Z06 doesn't take all my time. lol
Well, enough talking. I suppose I will get to the part everybody loves now... Pictures. lol
welcome. congrats on your z!!! had an 03 myself
*A&A Supercharger kit
*stage 3 heads
*meth
*cam
*Headers no cats/corsa catback
just a note you might not wanna completely rule out supercharging, they've come a long way and might be a little more eff than what you might be thinking...either way theyve got great setups out there. currently i got a supercharged C6Z and WOW!!!
bobafett, what did you run in the 1/4 with that setup on your 03? How much boost? I hadn't completely ruled out superchargers yet, but I am just more familiar with doing a turbocharged setup and know that I can get more top end out of it than a supercharger could provide. Also a quick look at some of the supercharger setups made me go eek at the price of one vs a turbo. lol

never ran my z on the track-should have (just like to beat guys up on da street), also had 4;10 gears. was runnin 8-9 lbs boost.I didnt have propers wheels/rubber for runnin tho, was more set up 4 show in that manner. im a lil surp about your feeling on the pricing tho, i thght it was the other way around but ive been outa that loop. Most guys ive talked to swear by the A&A kits and i agree being on my 2nd kit. being that ive already done supercharging setups, twinturbo will be my next method of fi. just to advise I have a brand new chrome dipstick and billet lic plt frame if u hap to be int. either way do your research, and i wish u the best with your z, and its outcome!!

I've heard several people suggest A&A kits throughout the site here already. I will definitely have to check them out. Yeah the whole pricing thing to me just seems a bit off considering I could get all the components to do a turbocharged system for about half the price of a supercharger kit... Unless most of these kits also include all the fuel components needed for the upgrade? I need to look into them some more and get some prices from summit on individual parts.
