Joined this forum on a Motortopia friend's recommendation. (Thanks, Terry!) I am interested in learning about Corvettes so that I can buy one for my husband for his upcoming retirement. A yellow convertible 'Vette is his dream car and I want to make that dream come true.
I'm a diehard Mopar girl so I don't know much about Corvettes at all. The budget is small with a key requirement being a solid body as my hubby can't do body work at all. He is a 35 year ASE master tech for cars and trucks so mechanical issues are not a big deal.
I'll be reading all the great info here on this site and keeping an eye out for a good deal. Any recommendations on a good entry-level first Corvette would be appreciated.
Welcome to the Forum!!!!!! My wife would like to buy me nice things but she never gets it right so she gave up decades ago. Have fun with your research and best of luck on finding the perfect gift Vette! Enjoy the Forums.

Welcome to the forum! Great retirement gift - I'm trying to talk my wife into getting me another one for my retirement in a few years, but I just may have to go out and get it myself. Your husband's a lucky man!
First you need to learn what generation of Corvette he likes - you'll see forums for C1, C2, C3, C4, C5 and C6, I would go there and just surf around and look at some photos posted so you can get an idea. C1's and C2's can be pricey and probably wouldn't be good candidates with the budget concerns.
