Default another newb...and first corvette

Here is my 71, 4 speed with original 350 engine, original blue car but looks good red. This is a St. Louis car also.

The car is going to need some work... from what I can tell so far it has just been really neglected all of it's life.

Soon as I bought it the key switch in the column (gear), 5.00 dollar part but took a week to take out and put back together...LOL

The upper and lower control arm bushings are toast...and alignment is so far off it's hard to drive.

The emergency brake is not connected and no cables...got to tear into that to see what's up....

Looks like I will be very occupied over the winter.

I think I want to stay stock with suspension, can you guys give me pros and cons of staying stock vs upgrades to everything?

Thanks

don't get me wrong, I love the car and when I say neglected there hasn't been any maintinance items taken care of. I think everything on the drivetrain is original except intake, carb and rear spring from what I can tell.

Beautifull car. Was the rear exhaust filled in when it was repainted?
