Hello everyone. I just got a 1989 Medium Blue Corvette two weeks ago. Auto trans and blue interior, 97,000 miles. It's stock for now, but I've already done the plastic bushing headlight fix. My previous car was a 1996 Camaro Z28 that made 468rwhp so this one won't stay stock long.
Thanks for the warm greetings. I've always been into cars-GMs particularly- and Corvettes have always had a special place in my heart. I'm 39 now so I was a teenager during most of the C4 lifespan. I remember in high school all my folders had the C4 crossed flags and "Corvette" in C4 font drawn all over them.
Interesting story from that time...My best friend at the time lived maybe a dozen houses down the street from my house. About halfway in between us was a family that had a racecar- nothing major just local roundy round stuff. One day in the spring or summer of '89 we are walking from my friends house to mine and see a Corvette in this racing family's driveway...not a mormal Corvette though. It was white, had Michigan "manufacturer" plates, and a rounded tail. The interior wasn't quite finished either. The badge on the back said "LT5"...I read all the magazines...and knew exactly what it was. Unfortunately I didn't have the brains to grab a camera...
