New to the CF...been on LS1Tech for about a year now and learned
quite a bit. About 13 mo. ago I found THE ONE @ Ernie Von Schledorn
in Saukville, WI. I had been checking out their Vette inventory for a few
years and obsessed over quite a few C6s(Atomic 09 M6 w/comp.gray &
dual mode; Black Grand Sport, etc.) but just couldn't bite off 50-60
large since my family and I just built a new home in 08. EVS gets this
low mile(15700) 03 Anniversary Red coupe M6 w/Corsa CBX on consign.
from the original female owner from Glen Ellyn, Ill. @ 26,999 I had to
have it. Now I just had to convince the wife
We traded in a black 03 Silverado SS to help drop the payment AND I
had to promise to part w/my 69 Impala 4dr. post car. Now that seems
easy but it had a fast burn headed 385" w/s475 blo-thru turbo and was
the ultimate sleeper. Gone in June I miss it already but this C5 just rips.
It handles great with the magnetic ride control, stops well with Z51
looking aftermarket rotors, gets 30 plus mpg freeway, and runs low 12s
on drag radials after my cam swap last winter. What can I say I'm a
gearhead and can't leave anything alone. Everytime I drive this car I
feel like the luckiest fella in the world. I'm sure you all know this feeling
and are probably laughing right now, but I'm glad to be a part of a great
family (community).
