Hello everyone, my name is Cheri, and I am a new Corvette addict.
I bought a 1980 Corvette from my nephew for my husband for our 14th anniversary. Now I want it for me when it is restored, lol.
We bought it form our nephew who was the second owner. He bought it in West Point, NY while he was attending the US Military Academy at West Point, which is the Army. Good for him, he is now in Afghanistan, bless his heart.
We are a military family, with Air Force, Army, and Navy Academy grads for three generations. But that is beside the point, back to the Vette...
From the VIN, the Vette was built in St. Louis, so the build sheet will have to come off the gas tank since the records burned up after the move to Bolling Green. It is a Dark Green Metallic, with a Doeskin interior. I can't wait til we get it restored, the interior is crap and the exterior was started for restoration. My fave color on the exterior, only 844 made in that color which is cool.
We will be showing the restoration as we go through it, so keep up with us!
