Believe it or not, I joined here even though I don't currently own a Vette. I have owned several from the mid 70's thru late 70's.
I have , however , been a hobbyist and armchair enthusiast especially since the C6 rebirth. I can't afford to buy or insure anything in the real Vette world anymore, but I do care very much about the design and the mindset of all things Corvette.
Why bother joining a forum? Because I am sickened at the prospect of the Jalopnik drawings being even close to reality of the C7. Even if the pics are "off by a mile", that rear end is so bad that even putting round lights on it may not even save it. And if those menacing mean spirited dante's inferno looking Camaro-ish rectangles make it on to the C7, I will be turning in my current Cruze when the lease is up and abandon the Chevy nameplate forever. Yes, it repulses me that much.
And I am quite affraid that the final product will indeed look something like the Jalop drawings. Otherwise GM would have slapped a big lawsuit at this point and had them withdraw those terrible images.
