I just heard about this forum today from my neighbor. I'm not all that proficient when it comes to forums. This is a first for me. I am interested in joining you on the April 14th Rainbow Run starting in Petaluma, CA. I live in Petaluma about 3 miles west of the starting point. 2-way radios were mentioned, I don't have a 2-way radio and was wondering how necessary they are. I probably could borrow one if it really is needed. Let me know how to sign up and what fees need to be paid now.
WELCOME TO THE FORUM There is a lot of good information in the forum, you just have to be in the right section of the forum to get it. There are plenty of folks willing to help you as well.
Wow! It's amazing the number of messages I've received in such a short period of time and yet no one's told me why I would need a 2-way radio for the Rainbow Run. Now I'm going to bed, good night all.

Welocme
2 way radios are a great way to hear me while your on the RR...
They are good to have if you get lost or have a breakdown, flat or what have you . We hate to leave anyone behind or stuck on the side of the road. I will also call out any traffic or bikes on the roads that we travel. And if you do other events with us we always use 2 way radios for communication. Motorola makes a great set for about 50.00 for 2 radios with all the accessories. They also come in handy for many other things. I use mine all the time..
