Hello I am not a corvette owner...yet. I joined here to get some tips on getting my father-in-laws vette back on the road. He has owned this 64 convertible since 68 when he got back from Vietnam. As soon as I get some pics I will post them. He drove the car until his daughter was born (my wife) in 1973 its been in the garage since starting it up every year or so until about 4 years ago since then it has just been sitting.
Some of the upgades will be a dual mastercylinder which I am researching now looks like we will need a new proportioning valve as well. Of course new tires, go over the brakes, new radiator, hoses, fuel pump, I am rebuilding the carb this weekend, its got a holley 3310-1 on it that he put on back in the day. He is planning on retiring this fall and I told him he needs to get this thing out and drive the tires off of it. I will be posting questions on stuff as I go and I look forward to gettting some great info from you guys this looks like a great site! Thanks in advance.
Welcome to the Forum!!! Good on you for helping your father-in-law. The first Vette I ever drove was a '64 convertible......fun car. Good luck and have fun with the project. The folks in the C1/C2 Forum will give any help you need. Enjoy the Forums.
