Hi All. Like the title says I am new here and just got my first Corvette late last year (Sept. '11). I actually ran into a forum member with a "new to him" C5 Z06 recently who recommended the forum. I wanted to know which was the best one, so here I am.
Like others a Corvette has always been my dream car (among others) so I am very excited to be able to own an American icon. I would really love to have a C6 ZR1, but I don't have that kind of cash and a low mile C6 was a great find and even better purchase.
I will be hanging out looking for information on how to mod my new toy/daily driver so I appreciate all the advice and great info you have here in advance!

Congrats on your new ride and welcome to the forum!
Here's an easy way to post a picture on the forum. Go to www.tinypic.com Select choose file and find the picture you want to post on your computer and select. Click the “Upload Now” green button
Type in the scrambled words/letters and upload.
After the upload you’ll see share this image. The 2nd on the list is an IMG code for forums and message boards. Copy that IMG address and paste it into a post and your photo will be displayed in the post.
You can also use photobucket. Here's a how to link.
VETTJAZ, thanks for the help on the images. I hosted them here on the forum then linked and inserted them, but I guess that does not work. Anyway pics up now thanks to you and Tinypic
Congratulations on the new ride and welcome to the Forum.
The best advice I can give is "the front is longer than you think" so stop way in front of parking curb blocks.
You are not kidding! I touched a parking block once shortly after I got her and thought I had broken the lip from the sound of it. I almost had to change my pants... Luckily it was not hard and there was no damage or even scuffs.
I am very careful now and have a much better feel for the length of the front end.
