RE-introduction..........
Howdy all! I had introduced myself a little while ago as someone looking to get a Vette. I was looking to purchase in 3 months and was set on a C5. As usual, things in life have a way of being "funny."
I sold my DD piece of junker S-10 because I really was ready to get something with A/C. I had also about given up on buying a Corvette because I wasn't sure that with me rebuilding my credit after what I recently went through would be a good idea. Then it happened.
I found a 1985 Vette with 100k original miles. The interior is almost perfect red leather with red carpet. Automatic shifted fine. Engine didn't smoke, all gauges work. In short, I couldn't find anything wrong. Even the paint was awesome.
Well, I'm a Vette owner now. She's white with red interior. Needs a few small things like one of the previous owners RTV'd the targa top. o_O But I didn't pay much for her and I think it's a good deal.
So, after 43 years, I'm FINALLY a Vette owner.

Thanks everyone. I've been digging around in the forums trying to get all the knowledge I can. I can't wait until Friday now. I think I dreamt of driving her all last night. 
My fiance' is already planning out road trips just so we can go cruising.
