Got a project...
Just picked up a 68 roadster, 427/390, 4 speed, manual steering,brakes,windows... Stamp pad is IL block with vin match. Correct manifold, replacement Qjet, all new light and vacuum parts, crap headers, interior gutted but does have seats, dash console. Tail and all side marker lights missing, electrical is spaghetti, bumpers are driver quality.
In grey primer, was LeMans with Dark Blue guts, black top.
The only dissapointment was seeing the shiny new gas tank! No sticker for me!
Car was in same family for 17 years, sat indoors most of that, frame is NICE, and birdcage is solid.
(proper tach for 390 horse, caps on u joints, distributor, no expansion tank, pretty sure it is what it is)
Oh, and it sounds freakin awesome thru the headers and with a missing muffler, lol.
3rd vette for me, previous 76 and 63. Used to be in club, autocross, and drag race.
Goal is frame on with nod to originality, to be used as driver on nice days. NCRS is cool, but driving the batsh*t out of it is more fun!
