Hi. I'm Jim.
My relationship with the plastic car started in 1969, after my '57 Chevy was stolen on Bronx River Road, in Yonkers, NY, while I was being entertained by a St. Barnabas senior, in her new apartment.
I then earned money by delivering pizza and chicken, for months, and I saved up $1,300 to buy a used...wait for it...1963 SPLIT WINDOW COUPE! Black. Powerglide (LOL!).
It had a burnt hood when I got it. I had it it painted. 'Changed the motor and tranny. I was actually using another car for drag racing, so the Corvette became my street ride. It was all show, and no go. But it ran like an Impala! But I liked the car and had truly great times in it.

^^ That's her at the Hillview Resi, when you could just drive up there.
I later WRECKED that vehicle (yes, TOTALLED), on the way to school, two years later.
Now I own a silver 1985 C4 that I bought in 1992 as a primary car. I drove it for 7 years before making it my second car.

'Very hard to justify the expense, but every time I drive it, I re-shelve any thoughts of selling it. 'Just put in a new battery. Inspection is due this month.
'Looking forward to talking to people here, and exchanging ideas.
