Hi my names Dave, bought my first vette last week. 2006 coupe w/ the z51 handling package in victory red
Owned 6 Subarus before this. After wrecking my '95 SVX(very safe cars by the way, ran into a guard rail at 90mph and walked away), I decided to try something else. Was looking at 90's Supras, 90's RX7s, late 70's camaros, wanted to try RWD. Well, nothing jumped out and said "buy me!".
Then one day I saw this C5 vette at one of the local car dealers. Found out it was a auto and lost interest real quick
So, I decide to check the rest of the dealers in town. Last one has this 06 vette coupe. hmm..... its a little newer then what I'd like(C5), but went to look at at anyways. Went for a test drive and scared myself silly
the fastest car I'd driven was my SVX, and it was AWD and only 230hp. So I went home to think about it. The more I did, the more I liked it. Week later I bought it. And had a smile on my face since
