I've been hanging around here the past week or so while my wife and I completed the purchase of a pristine 2004 White Coupe, fully loaded, 2 previous owners, both female.
The deal was finalized yesterday and we spent last evening showing it off around town with big grins on our faces.
The car is primarily hers, I have a 2008 Black on Black Shelby, but I'll be the one maintaining it and hanging out here.
Our kids are grown and out of the house so it's just her and I and we are starting our second childhoods with these two amazing pieces of American Muscle. I love my Shelby but I can already tell the Vette is going to grow on me. We are taking it to it's first cruise night tomorrow evening.
Congrats to you and your wife. I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum. I'm 27, married with our first (18 mo old); hoping to keep this one long enough to pass it on.
It's definitely a special feeling rolling through town in a well-respected American-made performance car. It puts smiles on little kids faces. It strikes up a conversation with the older generations who appreciate it (no offense to some of our more experienced members, lol). That's what made me want one in the first place, and that's why I don't think I'll ever sell it.
