I retired from the US Air Force in 2006, and served in several federal service positions with the Army and the Navy. Now I'm fully retired, at the age of 48. My wife, and all of my friends still work. What should I do? I've always wanted a car to restore. I was drawn to the 60's-70's donk convertibles, or an early model corvette. I chose the latter and just purchased a 1978 corvette. I live in Alabama, and cars tend to rust out pretty quick here. So the corvette was an obvious choice. My new 1978 is rough and needs lots of TLC...but I'm retired, and she'll be my full-time job...it's a labor of love really. I'll post pictures in the C-3 forum shortly. Hope to chat with you all soon. I'm sure I'll need plenty of advice along the way.
