Good evening, everyone. I acquired my first (new to me) Corvette in May of this year. It is a Magnetic Red Metallic '99 C5 6 spd Coupe. I have been observing the the site for some months now gleaning wonderful ideas and technical tips. I have joined so that, possibly, I may have something to contribute.
Personally, I am an old guy very close to my Biblical three score and ten. I am retired but still serve as an adjunct professor of Ancient Mid-eastern Literature. (You may keep your hat on.) While I have always been married my wife has only been married for 47 years. (That will make sense to you older folks, you youngsters will have to wait awhile.)
My 'vette named herself "Lilith" and she is certainly subject to no man! Two weeks ago I took her to my first HPDS at Putnam Park Road Course. It was exciting and I learned a lot, even though Miatas, Subarus and the FedEx man blew by me like I was standing still. Lilith did OK, but she did have to show who's in charge by shredding a rear tire; cheap price to pay at that.
Now, I'm looking for a local Corvette Club to join. (Southern Indiana, near Louisville, KY.)
Once again, I'm glad this site is here and I hope to be able to add a little to the pot.
