Hello all! I'm starting my research into the world of Corvette's. I've always liked and appreciated Corvettes but never seriously considered owning one until the last few years. I sold my 05 Mustang GT that I, and my kids, dearly loved as my commute is 45 miles each way. While I love my Fiesta for my 40-46mpg I get on that commute it obviously lacks driving pleasure!
A few years ago some friends visited Mammoth Caves National Park with us. The other father and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit the Corvette museum and that's where I started seriously considering a Vette. I've bounced back and forth between the Vette and some iteration of the 911 but my same friend purchasing an 08 Vette, and then throwing me the keys to test drive, has pushed me over to the Vette side of the fence. The value is undeniable and it's truly a wonderful car.
Even more importantly the wife did a 180 on her opinion once she got to go for a ride. So I'll be lurking, possibly asking questions, and occasionally commenting for the next 9-12 months. I don't tend to rush into these decisions lol! I'll be looking at a used C6 so my main goal will be to discover what to look for when inspecting one, major TSB's that should have been completed, etc...
Hopefully I'll be as active one day on this forum as I was on the Mustang forum I frequented. I held onto the Stang for 7 years and 115k miles wonderful miles. Hopefully this will last even longer!
