Old timer, getting around to intro
While a forum member for years, I'm just now getting around to a more appropriate intro. So, "hello all fellow Vette addicts".
Currently have a red/blk/blk '67 BB 427/435 convt, fully restored and outfitted. It's around my 6th Vette and 70th car, overall. Had this one for about 3 years now. It keeps company with an '02 BMW Z8, '11 Audi R8 V10 Spyder, '12 Ford Raptor and '13 BMW M3 Lime Rock Park Edition coupe.
Been through the Ferrari's, Aston's, Vipers, Ford GT's, Porsche's' etc, etc, and the C2 Vette still makes me stop and stare at its beauty and lines in the garage all of the time. They just don't build many with this type of unique style any more. Yes, it can cause headaches on rare occasions, but it's also easy enough to work on at home and get essentially every part I could ever need.
Plus, I still love to blow away so many Toyota Prius' here in politically correct CA every time I can.
Yet, with all of the other iron in my garage and other health issues arising, I may soon consider selling the Vette and moving on for a while. I suspect though, as before, I may once again return to the Vette fold, God willing, sometime down then road.
Drive on,
We hope for positive health things as time goes along and time will tell.
Re the Raptor, the 6.2 is the way to go. Excellent and unique truck and even though it's a Ford, absolutely no issues. The R8 is the same high quality and wonderful driving experience. It's our second, after an earlier V8 coupe. The BMW's are; well, the ultimate driving machines with their magic feel and great combo of sport, touring, ride, handling and quickness.
Happy motoring to all,
Stu
