New member here, with first corvette. Not sure why I chose an 84 vs something else....but it was cheap. LOL paid 500 for it, had it towed home.
Body was all there including the 3 coats of non original paint and a very badly done body kit, of wich I stripped off the next day.
I removed the water from the gas tank and added a new fuel filter and a battery...primed the carbs...and it sounds pretty good.
I have restored other things like a 64 Galexie 500 conv. 73 cougar, 68 caprice, 70 and 71 mustang. So as you can see this is my first venture into the world of computers and ECM's. I am sure I will be back many times for help.
After all, the last owners wiring jobs included household extension cords and wire nuts...LOL AND AWAY WE GO........
Can't go wrong on 500. Well maybe on a Galaxie 500 due to weight (had one but not the light weight).
Good to see it coming back to life from near death. Surprised the fuel pump is still OK. My 35th went bad from condensation from sitting outside. Had low mileage too. Confused abt priming the carbs. There are no carbs on a 84's.
