Hey everyone! I have been looking here for sometime now and thought I'd better join in. Just to fill you in, I am restoring my son's 1976E while he is in Afghanistan fighting the bad guys with his unit in the Marine Corps. Now, I have never done this before but I fancy myself quite able and so far I have had a lot of fun! I have found lots of bad things tearing this C3 down, and yes, it is a ground up resto. I though I got a good deal for the car until I got a good look as I was tearing it apart... live and learn I guess, I will be asking lots of questions from you people so be ready! Thanks in advance and it's great to be apart...

Thanks everyone, I got an email today from my son and he is doing fine over there, he's a good kid and a good Marine, and I'm proud to say he is my boy. And he'll have on hell of a car when he returns! thanks again for all the well wishing!
