Hello Everyone,

My name is Steve. I have just joined since I‘m looking to get into a C6 (preferably Z06) in the upcoming months. I have always wanted a Corvette. I have recently sold my Audi S4 (v8) and picked up another daily in cash. I'm thinking I can now make this dream a reality. I want a car I can enjoy every weekend and I'm looking for a pristine Z06 with at least a 2lz trim package. I have found a few already around the $42k mark but I’m resisting the urge to purchase every day since we are about to get our first snow and who knows…I may really like what the new C7 has to offer even though I want the last of the 427! In the meantime I will keep shopping.

Glad to be a part of the forum.

EDIT: Picked up a 08 Z06....see pics below

Thanks. I used to own a 370z a few years ago and that is exactly what I did. I snagged it new for 26k before tax since it was a year old and end of year clearance. Drove it a few times and then it sat all winter. The end result was my living room full of parts. I couldn't drive it but I could build up mods for spring. I now have a new house and a two car garage. The daily wants a friend.

Welcome. I thought about waiting to see what C7 has to offer. But the lure of owning a 427 ci Vette was too much for me to resist.

Good Luck!

Welcome to the forum. C6 priced in the $40-$45K range or C7 priced in the $60-$65K rang? Can't go wrong either way imho. Good Luck!

Well I did as you said....

I wanted as close to stock as possible.

-2008 2lz Z06 with 19k miles

-Black/Black

-20% Tint

-Clear Bra front to rear from the top of the fenders down...literally a mint paint job on this car

-295/345 Nitto Invo Tires

-Additional Sound Deadening installed

-Kenwood DNX9140 Nav (uses Garmin and light-years better than the original NAV unit.)

-Custom Subwoofer/Amp enclosure (will be in classifieds in a few weeks)

-B&B Bullets (switching back to stock w/mild to wild due to drone on long highway trips. If this was a short cruise car and not something I would like to drive to work from time to time I wouldn't swap. Bullets sound so aggressive....These will be in the classifieds in the upcoming months)

Here are some quick cell shots. I am more than happy with this car even coming from European Cars. Smooth, powerful, no rattles or odd noises. Car left me speechless compared to the 06 I first drove.

Hello Steve and welcome to the forum. I'm sure that the C7 is going to be a great car. But I hear you on the Z06. I think the Z06 will be the last of the large displacement Corvettes and may be come collectible. HP going forward will be generated by turbos and super chargers on smaller displacement engines. Good luck on your quest. (I'm a Corvette/Audi guy too)!
