new 75 stingray owner
I'm 48 years young and just bought my first Stingray. She is a one owner 1975 Bright Green coup bought new in Kemptville ontario 100,706 miles 90,000 of those in the first 6 years. The car was parked inside and driven once or twice each summer from 1982 until 2009 when sadly the original owner passed away. His nephew inherited the car and got her back on the road(new tires brakes fluids exhaust and a trany line were all that was needed) after putting 500 miles on it last summer he decide to sell it this year.Lucky for me nobody liked the very faded VERY green paint or the fact that both front and rear facias are extremely cracked and missing chunks!!Beyond that the car is 100% original unmolested condition, the only thing i can find wrong is the clock second hand gets stuck on the minute hand and a few small cracks were your elbows rest. After chatting with the seller about his uncle passing and the fact that I was buying the car with money I had inherited from my sister who passed from cancer in the spring we agreed on a price.
I borrowed my brother inlaws dealer plate filled her with premium and drove the car 70 miles to his shop for a safety check, which she passed with flying colours.
I can't wait to get her to VetteWorks shop for new facias and paint!!!!
I'll keep everyone posted with pics as I go.
Thanks to Graham XXXXXXXX for taking such good care of this car for 35 years in the cold salty canadian north, rest in peace my friend and know that your baby is in good hands!!!!!
