I've been lurking on this forum for a while to get upates on the C7, it's always one of the first hits that would come up when I'd google C7 Corvette. Decided to finally register today.
I don't own a Corvette and never have, but have always wanted one. After Jan 13/13 I'll decide if I want to wait for the C7 or just get a used C6 Z06. Can't drive them in the winters here so assuming the C7 gets released in winter 2013, this would mean Aprilish/14 before I get one, gives me 16 months to save

Welcome! It's best to spend time here before you purchase as what you learn here may impact your decision on the type of Corvette you may want to own.
Your estimate on the C7 seems right on relative to what I've read so far. No production until this summer meaning you (along with a lot of folks) won't be driving one before Spring of 2014.
