Good evening everyone. Army Sergeant here, stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. Currently a Camaro owner (2012 SS with 450rwhp) Looking forward to the day that I step up to the big leagues and get a Corvette. They've been my dream car since I was but a wee one. Looking forward to meeting some new people!
After seven years in, and 1 tour to Iraq, plus 7 (coming on number 8 real soon) to Afghanistan.. I've had PLENTY of time to think about how to respond to things like this because they happen a lot... Bills Z06 Thank YOU for making the United States of America a country worth protecting, and that goes for everyone else on this forum.
Welcome Army Seargant and thank you for your service
You won't find any Camaro bashing here, certainly not from me. Owned a fully restored 1969 numbers matching Z/28 myself and sold the damned thing in 1998 just before the market took off.
Meanwhile I think lot of us are here because we always hoped that someday we would own a Vette. Sort of like a promise we made to ourselves. I know for me I acted because I was fearful that I'd be on my death bed and kicking myself for never following up on that VETTE! The car haunts me in that regard and I know I would never feel that way about a Lamborghini or Ferrari or Porsche etc.
It's good that you came here before you purchased because you will learn a lot that will impact your purchasing decision.
Again, welcome to the Forum.
