Default New from west Texas

I am not yet an owner, but I am shopping around now...just haven't found "the one" yet. I have narrowed my list of "wants" down to three colors and a couple of option packages and even have a couple of cars on my list to look at when I decide to pull the trigger on one. I know it will be a C-6 08-12, but depends on a few other things beyond that.

Thanks for having me in the group!

What part of West Texas are you in! I have an 08 LS3 4LT Z51 SC Coupe and live in Midland, TX. If you're around we could meet up if you had any questions about c6's or wanted to see mine to explore the different options and see what you decide you Need and what you could live without! Take you for a sweet ride! haha

I'm just south of you in San Angelo, a ride would be cool, but a road trip with a few of us would be even better!

Oh okay that's not too bad! you could make a trip over its a 2 hour drive max. or we could meet halfway somewhere for lunch sometime and a cruise.
and yes a road trip would be nice! We took a little road trip to Andrews yesterday to grab some lunch and have some fun on the highway. I posted a thread yesterday with pictures you should check it out Ill post the link!

a couple lambo's and a ferrari, 2 cts-v's one is a hennessey. Check it out!!

I didn't get a picture of my car but if you watch the video, mine is the crystal red corvette (the darker red if you dont know the colors yet)

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...-etc-pics.html

Next time we get a cruise together you'll have to drive over and cruise with us once you get your vette! one of the cts-v's came from big spring and one from abilene.

Welcome. Best to spend time in the forum before pulling the trigger. I did, and my criteria or what I wanted in purchasing a used Vette changed as I learned knew things. Hopefully that will be your experience as well.

I Bought mine prior to getting on this forum, and I learned A TON in a short amount of time about these cars. I was lucky enough to have no regrets on my purchase or wish I had something different. This was largely due to my car being fully loaded so I haven't found any features I wish I had!

These guys on this forum are great! very knowledgeable, and friendly guys!

If you can't find a piece of information on this forum then it must have never been asked thought about by anyone before you.. haha

I have been looking at a lot of posts and looking things up. I have already learned a few things about what to look for as well as what to look out for.

TXVette-That is one of the colors on my short list at this point, love the chrystal red metallic as well as the velocity yellow.

Me too. I'm so glad I went with the crystal red Iove it! Looks gorgeous on a sunny day after a wash! Just let me know if you want to setup something to check out the car or anything like that!

Welcome!!!

Welcome to the forum. If you haven't already, I'd spend some time on the forum before deciding. For instance, if you are interested in an A6 and plan to paddle shift, you might want to pay up for a 2012 due to improvements in paddle shift lag beginning that year. Also, if you haven't seen a wide body (Z06, ZR1, GS) next to a base coupe. The two cars have quite a different look in person. Both looks are good but you may find you prefer one to the other.

The pic in the post above is the one I found that was both in my price range as well as had the options I wanted. At this point, an M6 was not in the cards for me (shoulders can't handle the beating) and I really wanted a car I could drive and enjoy.
