New to the forum-son wants corvette-which corvettes have the most headroom??
Hello I am new to the forum....my teenage son wants a corvette and we went to see a used 79 t top yesterday and we had the cash and were ready to buy...but he was real disappointed in the headroom....he is 6 ft 2 and he felt the headroom was not enough....I thought it was ok.but it was close....I mean his head seemed to be within an inch of the ceiling...but its going to be his car so its not my choice.....here is my question...which years had the least / most headroom...he still wants a corvette and we are hoping a different year might have more space...also...I have no idea what model years are for c2 c3 etc ..so if you could give me a year that would be great...THANKS....

C5 ....97-04...lots of big/tall guys have no issues
I don't know C4's 84-96
I had a used 78 ...had plenty of room but the car was a money pit.. C3's can be costly to maintain JMO
Good luck with your search and you may wanna ask around in the general sections for some help...if you tell folks where you are located and post up in that regional section I am sure someone would be happy to let your son try their car out for size

Welcome to the Forum and there are a number of guys that drive C4s that are over six foot. I think either a C4 or C5 would give your son enough room. Good luck on your search

I had an 87 and my C6 has more headroom.
I am 6-1 but wish the seat reclined a little more or would go back more. There are some on here that are 6.5 and say they fit fine in a C6. I never spent enough time in a C5 to answer to that gen.

In the C4's not sure what it is but the early cars seem to have less room that the later cars. I'm 6'2" and in my '86 it was close but my current '93 I have plenty of room. It could be the older car had sport seats where as my '93 has base seats.
