New member old hot rodder
Hi! I joined because I have always wanted a Vette and thought this would be a good site to find a car and ask questions. My experience has been strictly with old Mopar muscle cars (I have owned multi-carburated big blocks ever since 1972.) I have driven a friends slightly modified 2006 Z06 and fell in love with it. I am looking at a stock unmodified low mileage 2003 Z06 and wonder will I be happy with the performance compared to the 2006? What should I be concerned about in checking out a car like the C5? Thanks in advance for any input.

Hello & welcome to the forum. The C5 Z06 is a great car. However, compared to a base 2006 coupe 0-60 should be pretty close but the C6 is a better car in a lot of ways. If you can readily afford the 2006 I'd urge you to test drive one and note the diferrences for yourself.
