New Guy From Washington
My name is Dylan and I am an addict. I appreciate this forum. So far I have learned how to change the fluids, flush brake and clutch systems with fresh fluids and some of the common issues. This forum is a huge resource and I am glad to be one of the new members.
Just bought my first Corvette. Found this 2001 Z06 from a guy in Seattle. Been working on it this weekend to change and flush all fluids (eng oil, tranny, rear end, brakes, clutch, & coolant).
About the car:
Paid $15,000
51,000 miles
Borla Exhaust
Cold Air Intake
Short Throw Shifter
Slotted Rotors
It doesnt like to go into 5th gear. Thats why I got it for $15k. Im hoping the AMSOIL Torque Drive I put in it and switching out to the OEM shifter I bought on eBay will help with the transmission issue.
Other than the 5th gear issue, car runs and drives awesome. I love it. Its better than my FactoryFive Cobra I built a few years ago.
Here is my Cobra. When I get the Z06 finished and off the jackstands I'll take a picture of them both next to each other.
Anyhow...thats my intro....Thanks for having me on the forum....I really appreciate all the resources here.
