Hey guys! I'm hunting for a Corvette over the new few months so I figured I'd join. I'm just finishing setting up my career (last year of residency) so I'm making the car a gift to me.
I've always wanted a Corvette and I've been out of the performance car scene for the last four years and am itching to get back at it. I used to have a Camaro back in college and I went up north for medical school so I went with an SRT-4 (don't laugh it was a fun ride minus the FWD and could tackle the snow a bit better than a Camaro).
Anyways with that aside I've always wanted a Z06 but I'm contemplating due to cost going for a Z51 C6 and am starting my hunting now. I was eyeballing some other cars in a similar price range (CPO BMW 335i, new Mustang/Camaro, CTS-V, etc.) but I've come full circle back to the Vette and I have my reasons. Anyways, I'm moving back to Florida so it'll be a daily driver and I'm hoping to snag one of the garage queens up north here that have low mileage before I leave.
Anyways wanted to say welcome and I have tons of questions but I'll save those for other threads!
Welcome to the forum! Best to join before you make your decision.
Nothing wrong with the base, particularly in Z51 configuration, but make sure you see a wide body (GS,Z06) and base next one another and in person. You may have a definite preference. If you do go widebody, know that the Z06 has a fixed roof. I mention that to you as you will be in Florida.
Assuming...everything pans into place I may be a new owner in the next week and a half. Found the year i want, mileage I want, cost very close to what I was looking for, and the trim level I wanted.
Black 2010 3LT
I didn't realize what a PITA it is to find 3LT's. There's a gazillon 1LT's around these days. No one wants to let go a 3LT.
