Default It's finally mine!

Hello all! Just returned from a 450 mile trip to pick up my first ever corvette! A beautiful 2002 white base auto w/gray leather, polished 5 spoke wheels w/new tires and all the bells & whistles with a glass top, red calipers, B&B Bullet axle-back exhaust, custom car cover and new fact floor mats. It has 82000 miles and was owned by a corvette tech at the dealership who I had a long talk with prior to purchase and he assured me that the car was in great mech shape with no leaks or problems of any kind, he also described all the maint that he had performed on it along with painting the inside of the wheels black so the dirt wouldn't show(nice touch). I traded my 1994 3000GT that I had owned for 15 years w/87000 miles along with 14000.00 cash. I think I got a great deal cause the car looks and runs like a new car and everything works perfectly. I will try and post some pics later and plan on spending quite some time here with you guys(& gals). I learned a lot reading many posts before I purchased the car(Thank You). I turn 60 this year and this is my early B-day gift to me(w/my wife's blessing of course.) One question I do have is that the exhaust has a nice deep note but I think it's a little over the top for my taste. How many have this or other loud exhaust and how long did it take you to get used to it -or did you change it out? Would anyone be interested to buy this system from me if I decide to switch to another? Any suggestions on a better exhaust? Sorry it's a little long but I am excited to join the fold and now I understand what all the excitement is about! What a CAR!!

I might add that I learned to watch out for whiplash when you decide put the pedal to the floor! It's a lot different than my 3000GT!!

I'm tired from the long drive today so I/m hitting the sack--please leave any comments and I'll look forward to checking 'em out first thing tomorrow. Drive safely!
