Well I have been through about every other car imaginable from Hondas in high school to Mustangs and Camaros both stock and highly modified but yesterday I finally got the car I've wanted for so long.
I picked up a near mint 03 Medium Spiral Gray 50th Anniversary car. It's a 6 speed car and is bone stock. Came with two tops too to my surprise. One is glass and the other is the expected painted top.
In the future for modifications is a MGW shifter, some type of exhaust (have no clue), and some tinted windows. Outside of that I have no clue as I'm extremely happy with the smoothness and ride it offers now so I really hate to mess with it too much.
And the bad news? Yesterday about 12 hours after I picked the car up I was driving home and was assaulted by a deer. The damage doesn't seem too bad but it was the first incident ever on the car. I'm sick about it but at least it wasn't major. The left headlight is all kinds of screwed up and the drivers side fender/door have some minor cuts/scratches. Nothing that should be too terrible to fix. Now I have to decide whether I want to do the c5r style headlights or just stick with a replacement pop up light.
Oh well. That's my intro. Now its time to get on here and do some reading and learn more about these cars.
Thanks guys. And yes. I lost it. Went crazy for an hour or two. It has put me at a decision making point though. Whether to replace the flip up light or to go with the "frog" lights as I have seen them called on here. I like the hide away headlights but if the "frog" lights are brighter and I could probably wiggle it for no extra cost to me... why not?
Congrats and welcome to the forum.
I bounced a small one of my GS just a few weeks after I got it with apparently no damage that I've found.
Yours will be fixed up good as when you got it in no time at all.
